Recently, I read an entertaining post about learning new languages on the WPML page. WPML is the WordPress Multi Language Plugin, to be used when you want to create, for example, an English version of your website.

 

Of course, there are many other ways to improve your language skills. The best advice, I believe, is: use it, don’t lose it! Already after a few months of speaking English all the time, my spoken English has improved vastly. And I’m reading more English books, too.

 

Speaking of new languages: I’m thinking of learning Arabic. I know, it’s ambitious, because it’s so very different from any language I am speaking at the moment. But I already learnt my first word: ‘marhaba’. It is a general, welcoming term, and I love it that people use it a lot here. It makes me feel very welcome!
